Queen Sarah Inyang who represented the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) in the 2021 Face Of Maritime International and emerged 1st Runner Up known as FOMI Ambassador has been a shining light amongst her fellow queens following her successful hosting of two successive editions of Maritime Career Mentorship Program (M-CAMP).
Recall that the current FOMI Queens have their respective pet projects for their respective positions. Hence, the FOMI Crowned Winner, Queen Temitope Ogunkanmi is responsible for championing the Girls Go-To-Sea Campaign as her primary pet project; FOMI Ambassador, Queen Sarah Inyang is responsible for organising mentorship program for maritime students while the FOMI Queen Tourism, Grace Omede is responsible for promoting Nigerian maritime potential by organising excursions to seaports, shipyards, terminals and other martime tourism centres.
In a press statement made available to PLATFORM REPORTERS and signed by the Executive Director, Face Of Maritime International, Mr Sylvanus Obasi, he stated as follows:
“For their reign to be adjudged successful by FOMI management, each of the queens is expected to host at least 4 pet project programs before the end of their one year reign. This means one program in every quarter of the year.
“In view of this, in about 4 months after their coronation as FOMI reigning Queens, Miss CRFFN – Sarah Inyang has hit the ground running having hosted two out of her 4 expected pet project programs for the year; whereas the other Queens are yet to kick off their own pet project programs with 4 months down the line.
“The management of Face Of Maritime International and the entire maritime community commend Queen Sarah Inyang for taking outstanding early lead in the queens pet project execution while also encouraging other queens to follow suit.
“Thank you Akwa Ibom State for producing a hard working FOMI Ambassador 2021! Thank you CRFFN for sponsoring a brilliant and beautiful FOMI Ambassador 2021! Thank you FOMI management for the co-operation and support! Thank you all for being there for us always! Together, we can do more!
Face Of Maritime International:…beauty for the sea! #givingyourbeautyameaning!”, he posited.
