Grace Omede Wins FOMI Facebook Photo Challenge

Miss Grace Omede, a 21 year old indigene of Kogi state has emerged winner of the just concluded Facebook Photo Challenge conducted by the organisers of the 6th edition of Face Of Maritime International (FOMI) as part of preliminary tasks in the ongoing maritime industry pageantry.

Grace beat 19 other contestants to emerge top best in the Photo Challenge which ended last Sunday.Β 

The Photo Challenge required that the Favourite pictures and profiles of all the Contestants were posted on the official Facebook page of Face Of Maritime International, and the general public were asked to like, share and comment on the picture of their favourite contestant. At the end of 7 days period of the Challenge, the candidate with the highest likes, shares and comments was declared winner of the Challenge.

To this effect, Grace picture and profile attracted 583 Likes, 712 Shares and 651 Comments, making a total score of 1,946. Whereas her closest contender, Miss Esther Onyemazu came second with 611 Likes, 381 Shares and 634 Comments, totaling 1,626 scores.Β 

Speaking to Platform Reporters after she was announced winner of the Challenge, the Marine Engineering undergraduate whose favourite colour is pink expressed happiness and joy for coming out victorious.

She said, “Honestly Sir, I feel so happy and glad. Winning out of 20 contestants wasn’t an easy task but we just have to keep pushing which I did. And am glad I was able to achieve thisπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ™ owing to self determination and less distraction”.Β 

When asked what she thinks about Miss Esther her closest contender, she said,Β “Miss Esther’s spirit is really a good one.Β I love the pursuit. She made it interesting for me and difficult for me also. May God bless herπŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈ“.Β 

Responding to questions on her expectations going into the next task, called ‘Dance Challenge’, she smiled and said, Am expected to showcase my cultural dance steps πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒAnd make sure I put in more efforts by bringing out the best in meΒ  towardsΒ  winning againπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ™ because I sense it’s going to be more competitive than this Facebook challenge. But winners don’t quitπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ™πŸ˜ƒ and quitters don’t win so I rather become a winner and not a looserπŸ™πŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺWe are aiming at the crownπŸ˜ƒπŸ™‡β€β™€οΈπŸ™, she concluded.Β

Similarly, Platform Reporters also spoke with the closest contender, Esther Onyemazu to know how she felt after losing the first spot to Grace in such a slim margin.Β 
She said, “I felt bad but not discouraged.Congratulations to Grace OmedeπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. Winning the photo challenge gave her an edge but doesn’t make her the winner yet. We see how the IG challenge goes”.Β 

Meanwhile, the management of Face Of Maritime International has congratulated Miss Grace Omede for clinching the top spot in the just concluded Facebook Photo Challenge.Β 

In a congratulatory message sent to her after she won the Challenge, the organisers also revealed that by winning the first task, she has automatically won the position of Camp Commandant for the first 2days in the forthcoming FOMI Faculty Camping ahead of the Grand Finale if she qualifies to enter the Camp.Β 

Adding that she has also been rewarded with one month data subscription, courtesy of Queen Stella the current FOMI Queen.Β Β 

Recall that 20 damsels were admitted as contestants into the 2021 edition of the maritme industry pageantry after a successful Audition held recently.Β 

The 20 Contestants are to contest for the prestigious crown of Face Of Maritime International wiith it’s attendant benefits comprising official car, #500,000 cash prize, endorsement deals and other fringe benefits.Β
