AMSAY Conference 2021: EMTI Shortlists 4 Beneficiaries In First Batch Of Scholarship Offer

The Management of Elkins Marine Training International (EMTI) has shortlisted 4 beneficiaries in the First Batch of its 5 million Naira scholarship training promo meant for maritime students through the platform of the Annual Maritime Students and Youth Conference (AMSAY Conference).

In an official email sent recently to Platform Communications, organisers of the AMSAY Conference, EMTI indicated that 3 out of the 4 beneficiaries are winners of the Best Graduating Maritime Students Awards who emerged at the just concluded 2021 AMSAY Conference.

Those shortlisted are as follow:
1. Ms. Elizabeth Adetoyinbo omolola (Winner- Best Graduating Female Maritime Student): has been granted 200k worth of training towards BST and ISPS Awareness – This covers both basic courses.She will also be considered for an extended offer based on her performance and to encourage her to do more courses.Opportunites might also be presented to her for help in development. 


2. Umahi Wilfred E.(Winner- Best Graduating Maritime Management Technology Student): Offered 200k for basic courses. ISPS Awareness, BST, and ISM Fam
Also will get 200k towards 2 of the other advanced courses. 200k (500k – 900k) towards 50% of the advanced courses.Applied for:ISPS CodeBasic Tanker ISM Fam Advanced Courses.GMDSSTanker
ECDISPSCAdvanced Fire.


3Onojeta Mudiaga (Best Graduating Nautical Sciences Student ): from Delta state. Offered 200k for basic courses. ISPS Awareness, BST. Free.  Also will get 200k towards 2 of the other advanced courses. 200k (500k – 900k) towards 50% of the advanced courses.All the below will be 50%Advanced Oil, Advanced Chemical/Tanker Dangerous Liquid (TASCO AND CHEMCO), ECDIS, ARPAAdvance Fire Fighting (AFF)Bridge Resource Management (BRM).


4. Mr. OBOT Nsisong Brendan (Non attendee/awardee): has enrolled in a few courses and made a statement of seriousness in maritime training. He will be given a 200k grant for other courses. This can be extended to up to 500k – 900k  as he seems very determined to learn and grow in the maritime industry.He will also need to thank your platform for these grants.He has already booked three courses and we will update you on his progress. 

Speaking further, EMTI revealed that the application of other applicants are being looked into, adding that more will be shortlisted in the second batch.
