It was an unexpected upset as a 27 year old Miss Timipere Christopher, an indigene of Bayelsa state came from the bottom table to overtake the two week leaders: Eugene Blessing, Stella Amuba and others to now occupy the top spot in Week 4 voting table of the ongoing Face of Maritime International (FOMI).
According to the week 4 result released on Friday night, Timipere who occupied the 17th position last week with just 0.9% of votes now tops the voting table with 201.4%; while Blessing Eugene and Stella Amuba now comes second and third with 126.4% and 60.2% of votes respectively.
Reacting to the week 4 voting result, Timipere who is currently topping the voting chart said, “I am speechless. Well, I thank God for His grace and my hard work paid off. I’m so so grateful to God for this, but this is just my stepping stone.”.
Talking about her expectations going into the next stage of the contest, she said, “I look forward to more hard work, being focus, and by God’s grace, winning the crown”.
When asked what would be her advice to other contestants, Timipere said, “My advice to other contestants is that we should all work together to make FOMI 2020 better than previous years. FOMI 2020 Contest should be unique from others”.
Also reacting to the result, Eugene Blessing and Stella Amuba congratulated Timi and other contestants who made it to the next stage of the contest. Blessing said, “Awwwn! Congratulations to Christopher baby, and congrats to all”. While Stella said, “Christopher Timipere, the table breaker… congrats darling”!
Other contestants also congratulated Timi for her shocking lead on the table. Some of which include Morayo Sholaja who said, “Kudos to Timi, she did not only break the table, she scattered and shook it”.
Okoro Lilian said, Congratulations to Timi, I’m proud of you. And to us that made it to the next stage, congrats! More win to us all“. While Chiamaka Nwosu said, “Congrats to my fellow queens in the house, see you guys in the camp”.
Christopher Timipere is dark in complexion, and stands 5.6 fit tall. Her favourite food is beans, while her favourite colour is black. She likes truth and honest, but dislike lies. Her philosophy in life is never to give up, always push forward to be a strong and a better woman in life.
She has this to say about herself, “Am a strong goal-getter, am hardworking, am jovial, I am intelligent, understanding, caring, and God loving”.
Meanwhile, as the Second stage of FOMI Voting Campaign begins on Saturday, Sept 5 after one week voting break when they would be assigned to represent various maritime organisations as their sponsors, fans and maritime industry stakeholders are watching to see the candidate of which organisation will take the lead when the next voting campaign commences.
