NPA Confirms Suspension Of Strike By MWUN, Assures on Industrial Harmony

The management of the Nigerian Ports Authority has confirmed the suspension of the strike action earlier embarked upon by the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) which entered its second day on Friday.

In a press statement sent to Platform Reporters on Friday, the port authority affirmed that normal Port activities have been restored, while also assuring of industrial peace and harmony.

According to the statement, “NPA Management regrets all inconveniences the strike might have caused Port users and other stakeholders”.

It also promised to ensure that issues that led to the strike are resolved soonest in the national interest and further enhance its mandate to deliver efficient services for customer satisfaction.
