One of the leading maritime law firms in Nigeria, Ofianyi Chambers said it will employ two Best Graduated Maritime Students who would emerge as Best Graduated Shipping and Admiralty Law Students in the forth-coming 4th Annual Maritime Students & Youth Conference scheduled to hold in Lagos this coming Monday, May 27, 2019.
In a chat with the management of the chamber recently, the law firm expressed its intention to offer automatic employment to two Best Graduated Shipping and Admiralty Law Students immediately after the completion of their law school in order to fill two existing vacant positions in the law firm
Recall that Ofianyi Chambers had in 2017 offered automatic employment to one Mr Segun Awoyinfa, a law student from University of Lagos (UNILAG) who emerged Best Graduated Shipping and Admiralty Law Student during the 2017 edition of the Conference.
The Convener of the Conference, Mr Sylvanus Obasi thanked Ofianyi Chambers for the offer, saying that this second offer is a confirmation that the firm is satisfied with services of Segun Awoyinfa whom it employed two years ago through the Platform.
Mr Obasi revealed that his company, Platforms Communications has the data of Best Graduated Maritime Students from various maritime academies across the country since 2017.
He stated that any company which needs the data to employ any of the best graduates should approach Platforms Communications for such information.
Recall that Platforms Communications instituted the Best Graduated Maritime Students Awards to stimulate healthy academic competition amongst Nigerian maritime students.
Agencies, companies or organisations can key into the concept by way of cash donations, scholarships for further studies or automatic employment to any of the Best Graduated Maritime Students.
