In order to aid the ease of doing business within the ports community and to entrench greater operational efficiency, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) yesterday unveiled two trucks transient parks at Lilypond and the second gate of Tincan Island Port in Apapa, Lagos.
According to a press statement sent to PLATFORM REPORTERS today,the authority showed pictures of the Representative of the Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Executive Director, Marine & Operation, Dr. Sekonte Davies exchanging pleasantries with Chairman of the Amalgamation of Containers Truck Owners Association of Nigeria (ACTOAN) MR. Olaleye Thompson at the flag off of the LilyPond Truck/ Trailer Park at Ijora yesterday.
Top Management of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) present during the flag off ceremony include: the representative Managing Director, Executive Director Marine and Operation Dr. Sekonte Davies, Engr. Jatto A.A, the GM C&SC, the GM Legal Services Eniola Williams, and the GM Servicom counterpart Hairirat Muhammed.
Others were the Chairman of the Amalgamation of Containers Truck Owners Association of Nigeria (ACTOAN) MR. Olaleye Thompson, Aisha Ali Ibrahim Port Manager LPC, and AGM Harbours, Captain Jerom Angyunwe.
