Zakama Rachael, a 20 years old indigene of Adamawa state and a graduate of International Relations from North America University Cotonou, Benin Republic has taken a top spot in the voting table of the ongoing Face Of Maritime International (FOMI) after week 2 voting Campaign.
According to the week 2 voting result released early Saturday morning by Platform Reporters, organisers of FOMI, Rachael, who is chocolate in complexion and 5.8ft tall is currently topping FOMI voting table with 40.9% having garnered over 2000 votes within 2 weeks of FOMI voting Campaign.
She is followed by Christabel Francis, a 22 years old indigene of Delta state who comes second with 12.1% having garnered over 600 votes in the same period of two weeks.
While Bassey Hossana, a 26 years old indigene of Akwa Ibom state and a student of Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology comes third with 9.8% having gotten over 400 votes.
The top three leaders are going into the week 3 FOMI voting Campaign with the hope of maintaining their top spot positions, whereas other contestants in the ladder are hopeful of turning the table by clinching top spot positions as well.
The week 3 FOMI voting Campaign, which will end on Friday October 19 marks the end of FOMI first round of voting. Out of a total of 37 contestants, the top 20 candidates after week 3 voting result is announced will proceed to the next stage of the competition.
Face Of Maritime International (FOMI) is an industry pageant of international standards which advocates greater participation of women in maritime professions. The 2018 edition of the contest is the Season 3 episode of the yearly pageantry.
