In line with the FOMI agreement, Platform Reporters on Monday, Dec 4th, 2017 paid the three queens of Face Of Maritime International 2017 their cash prize as winners.
The payment ceremony which took place at ANLCA National Secretariats in Festac Lagos had the parents and relations of the queens in attendance as witnesses.
It was the first installment payment to the queens while the final installment will be paid before the end of their one year reign after successful execution of their pet-project.

The 3 FOMI queens are to champion the Girls Go-To-Sea Campaign as their pet project while also undertake other responsibilities and projects that will further advance the development of maritime sector.
The three FOMI queens who were paid are Queen Joyce Saviour, Queen Asiru-Balogun Kikelomo and Queen Eniola Sekoni.
Speaking while presenting the cheque to them, Mr Sylvanus Obasi, FOMI Project Director Congratulated the winners and urged them to make good use of the money and not use it for frivolous spending in this yuletide.

Mr Obasi maintained that by paying the winners within one month of their emergence as queens, Platform Reporters, the organisers of the event have shown that it is a credible organisation that keep to its word.
He added that the organisation looks forward to a good working relationship with the queens within their one year reign.
