Platforms Communications Concept, producers of Maritime Platform, a Popular weekly audience – participatory Radio Programme has inducted nine new members into the prestigious Panel of Maritime Analysts (PMA).
The event took place at the Grand Finale of Face Of Maritime International held recently in Lagos.
Speaking at the occasion, the CEO of Platforms Communications, Mr Sylvanus Obasi said the Panel of Maritime Analysts is a conception of Maritime Platform designed to identify and honour outstanding Individuals who have proven their in depth knowledge of the maritime industry through their analytical prowess in discussing topical maritime issues in the mass media.

According to him, “The maiden induction of the Panel of Maritime Analysts took place in 2015 when we inducted 28 members. In 2016, we inducted 10 members. And this year, we have 9 inductees that will be joining the Panel.
” The duties of these Analysts is to serve as resource persons and discussants at Maritime Conferences, Seminars and any of such fora giving their in depth knowledge of the industry. And to also represent the true view of the industry by being truthful and objective whenever called upon to discuss Maritime issues in mass media or in any public occasions “.

” This explains why they have to take the induction oath in order to be guided by this public pledge and commitment to always say the truth and not be biased in their media analyses of the industry”, Mr Obasi stated.
Those inducted into the 2017 Panel of Maritime Analysts include:
Barr Temisan Omatseye, Former DG NIMASA, Engr Sambo Muazu Jaji, Area Manager, NIWA Lagos Area Office, Hajia Lami Tumaka, Director, Special Duties and External Relations, NIMASA and Hajia Bola Muse, CEO Bomarah Group.
