This he said would refocus and reposition Nigerian maritime students for academic excellence and professional competence necessary in tackling the future challenges of the industry.

Recall that A Day With Nigerian Maritime Students is a convergence of maritime students from various maritime academies and institutions across the federation. It provides a suitable platform for Nigerian maritime students/youth to meet, interact and learn from the older professionals through information sharing and cross – fertilization of ideas beyond the classroom knowledge.

The event also aims to expose the students/youth to the enormous potentials in the maritime sector and how to tap into it, while also giving government, private companies and industry players the opportunity to understand the challenges of these students, with a view to helping them overcome them.

At the maiden edition of the Conference held in 2016, about 380 participants attended. As a result, Platforms Communications predicts that with about 30 maritime schools duly invited, over 600 maritime students are expected to attend this year’s occasion.
